Favorite MOVIE SCENE - any genre - your pick!
by AWAKE&WATCHING in.
i realized i was hi-jacking another thread so i thought i would start my own topic.. one of my favorite movie scenes is the "to tip or not to tip" scene in reservoir dogs.
i don't care for all the blood in tarantino movies but he is, without a doubt, a genius.. .

Nancee Drewe and Chums
by compound complex inwhich tree symbol?.
a plump and very, very anxious mrs. tenney was adamant that she would not, under any circumstance, venture into the spooky follett mansion toute seule.
the svelte and ever-eighteen-year-old nancee assured her friend that great aunt sara had lived there alone in safety for years ... what's the problem?

The Greek Word Parousia! How should it be trasnslated?
by wannabe inthe greek word parousia!
how should it be translated?.
i say, that because it can be applied to presence; which the governing body who does have an ax to grind, would jump on; and apply it, as they have to the thirteen occurrences, where it appears in their new world translation bible.. as i said, it can be applied to their teaching that the christ was invisibly present in the year 1914, but according to the information i found, that application is incorrect.

So are the droppings at the bottom of the old crock from the hare or the chupacabra?

This story is becoming pungent and unpleasant like an incorrectly aged piece of liederkranz cheese.

Sometimes life just shakes you up like this, advice is everywhere but something that I heard that seems right is to inspire yourself by doing something new or different everyday even if its really a small thing create memories become alive.
sending you smiles

Disrespect of the Bible
by brotherdan ini am going to get a lot of flack for this post, but i need to do it.
i want to preface this by saying that i don't judge any of you and i believe in the right of freedom of speech and freedom of religion, including your freedom to not practice one.. however, i'm finding a trend among some ex jws here.
notice the word "some".

I am really bothered by the treacherous heart concept, as if the way I feel about something is not valid if it questions the creator/activities.
for example the bible is full of genocide. Why is it terrible for humans and not for god? and if your going to execute someone and your capable of doing it quickly/humanely and you don't why? and if theres really some big plan and we're being tested or whatever help us out here give us a clue.

About "apostate" websites
by Sojourn injust throwing some thoughts out there, from what i've noticed, and interested to see what you all think: agreeing and opposing opinions are welcomed!.
i feel that the "apostate" sites i've run into have a lot of good information on them that i am thankful to have found.
my eyes would not have been opened without them.

The wtbs attempts to homogenize its recruits, labelling any contrary thoughts as indepentant thinking so that after awhile one gets used to something like "I believe this" "so do I" "good" no contrary opinions are ever expressed. The first time a witness gets on a site like this it can be disturbing because the exchange of free thought is unfamiliar and a little unnerving. So after awhile it becomes more natural and its ok for people to express displeasure with the creator, religion, wtbs and any unpleasant treatment they received.
Its a process.
